How do I start the tiling process?
We want to make the process easy for you and we are glad to help!

Choose your countertops and cabinets before selecting your tile!
Tile is available in a wider selection than cabinetry, therefore it’s important to choose your stone countertops and you cabinets first and then match the tile from an array of thousands of tiles.

Look through magazines, decorating books, and on the Internet.
Collect pictures of the ceramic and stone tiles you like even if the color or the applications are not quite right. It’s important to get a feel for what you like. When you visit us in the showroom, bring your file of collected photos and we can start from there.

Bring your architect/contractor scale drawing or blueprints to the showroom.
If you have them, bring in your drawings with you when you visit us so that our professional staff can really get a sense of the direction in which your construction/renovation is going.

Bring your samples and swatches to the showroom.
If you have made choices for the room or rooms that you need to incorporate into your tile design, bring us the samples and swatches so that we can help you coordinate the whole look. Having that small piece of fabric with you may help you to find a way to make one room flow into the other.

How do I stick to my budget?
Our professional sales staff will do everything possible to get you what you like at a cost you can afford. Be upfront about how much you would like to spend at the start of the project. From the grandest of new homes to the most simple of repairs, we have something for every budget.

Do I have to make an appointment to see a salesperson?
We will welcome you at any time during our showroom business hours. We do, however, recommend that you make an appointment if you are working on a large project, traveling from a distance, or you want to work with a specific salesperson. If you would just like to look around at our selection, be our guest! Our showroom is chock full of products, so plan on visiting for a while.

After I place an order, how long until my tiles come in?
We offer two types of materials: stocks and special orders. Stock materials are those tiles that are found in La Moda’s warehouse, and arrive within 7-10 business days. Special order materials are handmade tiles or custom mosaic tiles that will take at least 3-4 weeks to make, then another week to get shipped. It is very important to tell your salesperson the time limit you have on your project so there are no delays.

Will La Moda deliver tile to the job site?
Yes, we do deliver. There is a delivery charge based upon where your job site is. All deliveries are curb side only. There needs to be someone at the job site to accept and sign off on the materials that are being dropped off.

Will there be a freight cost added on to my order?
Freight cost is a separate fee and is not included in the square foot/piece cost. Due to the weight and value of the materials being ordered, all freight charges are added on at the time of delivery.

Can I return any tile I do not use?
In some circumstances tile can be returned within in a timely manner. ONLY FULL BOXES are accepted. We suggest that you call your salesperson before bringing the boxes back to make sure that they can be returned. It is stated on your invoice if a material is SPECIAL ORDER – NO RETURNS. Due to dye lot situations, many materials cannot be returned. Stone and handmade tiles are NON-RETURNABLE under any circumstances.

What happens if I run out of tile in the middle of my installation?
This is a common occurrence. Because we understand the situation and how stressful it is, we will try to get the additional materials to you as quickly as possible.

Do you have the designers on staff?
Of course we do! Tile design is an art form that requires experience, training, and professionalism. Our design staff has the creativity and knowledge of all the products in the showroom.
